Okay so Sage has a mind of her own. She does the funniest things. The other day we were at Taco Bell for lunch and I had given her a napkin to wipe her face off. I said "Sage, wipe your face." She didnt understand me so I rephrased and said "Wipe your mouth." (and pointed to my mouth) So she takes the napkin, opens her mouth and sticks the napkin in there and wipes the inside of her mouth. *giggle*
Another thing that is disgusting but yet another story of my wild child is.....shes learned to pick her nose (gag) and everytime she does I get a kleenex and have her wipe her hand...she does not like doing that. So now she tries to hid it from me. I caught her picking her nose and she saw me and stuck (the booger *double gag*) back into her nose.
Sage has been learning the sounds of animals. Her first one we didnt teach her but she learned it on her own and I think its funny....we ask her what a dog says and she sticks out her tongue and pants like a dog. Her next animal she learned was cow...and she says mooo. For duck and bird she says caw caw. Now her latest is cat...meme meme! lol
She loves loves to eat ice and carries her blankets everywhere with her. (the picture above is of her with her blankets just waking up from a nap)

After doing a quick shopping trip at Walmart today I walked out to the parking lot and down the isle to my car. SO I THOUGHT. I didnt see it. So I looked and looked. Up and down the next few isles. I was getting scared because I couldnt remember where I parked. Then I got scared because maybe it was stolen. I couldnt call anyone cause my phone died while I was on it talking to my BEST FRIEND WHO MOVED TO ALASKA. :( So I kept looking and looking. Finally I found it...right where I left it. All snug in its little parking space.

Although I thought I would be relieved to find it. I WASNT. Why did my memory fail me? I was only in walmart for 20-30 minutes. Plus, I forgot my coupon for my free candle that I originally wanted to go there for. Hmm! Any explainations for my memory loss?

Ive always had a bad memory..ALWAYS! But seriously, Ive never forgot where I parked my car! I guess I really am getting old. *sniff* *sniff*

Christmas is only 4 months away! Holy Cow! Is it just me or did summer FLY by?!?! Especially August. It seemed just a few days ago we were at the cemetery for Alans bday (Aug.4th) and now all the sudden its the 25th already. I cant even recall whats gone on this month. All my weekends have been booked and Im exhausted. Having fun but so so tired. And my next few weekends are booked also. Sheesh. NOW...Christmas is creeping up on me and I have no idea what to ask Santa for (wink) maybe a truck (double wink)!!!

In the next couple weeks I wanna spend as much time as I can with my best friend who is moving to Alaska. Im soo sad shes moving. *sniff sniff* And theres a family campout and then a friends family campout. Phew..thinking bout all this makes my head spin.

Sage has officially hit the terrible 2's syndrom. Mind you me...shes isnt 2 years old yet..**sigh**!!! Shes into everything and can reach everything. She throws a mother of a tantrum and is very specific about things she wants. But at the end of the day when she kisses me out of nowhere and gives me a hug...or when she snuggles next to me in bed and looks up at me with those adorable green eyes..my heart melts and I forget about the days troubles. Funny how that happens.

I got a tattoo 2 weeks ago. Yeah I realize most of you dont agree with tattoos but me and my best friend (who I mentioned earlier) got a symbol that means FRIENDS FOREVER. It was important for us to do something since she is moving soooo far away..did I mention shes moving to ALASKA..ugg!?!?! Anyways I was really nervous about getting it done on my foot because I heard that it hurts really bad. Well I got it done and it didnt really hurt at all...kinda like an annoyance instead...like someone poking you. It took maybe a total of 10-15 minutes and it was finished. I think its really pretty!

Another issue we have been having is our dang pet squirrel..

Now there are 3 of the dang things and they are eating all my plants. I had 3 sweet potato plants growing so big and now they are just twigs. We had 12 pears growing on our pear tree and the squirrels ate all but..2!

Next, SCHOOL STARTED! Can you tell Im just a little bit excited. Im not sure whos more excited...me or the kids! The kids were counting down the days and kept asking when they could get there backpacks out and ready! Aubreys teachers name is Mrs. Corbin. She seems really nice and Aubrey likes her. Aubrey also is lucky to have her cousin Madison in her class with her. (DEAR TEACHER: These girls like to talk and talk and talk and talk. THE END) lol
Weston is also enjoying his teacher, Mrs. Mender. He loves being in 3rd grade and having some friends in his class too! Im sure they both will do very well this year.

Tomorrow is Alans birthday. We are doing a small graveside memorial for him today! Sure do miss that boy!

Yesterday, we wanted to do something fun and different with the family. We were gonna go up to the Pinal mountains but that plan fizzled. So we opted to go to a museum..well that was to expensive for what it was..SOOO then we decided to do lunch at Petes Fish and Chips. Well that couldnt work since they arent open on Sundays. Well then we decided to try the new place by our house called Costa Vida. Well we pull up and they arent open on Sundays either. Taco Bell was our end result. It was very tasty though! ;) Then Aubrey requested we go inside Petco and see the animals.

We were in there for over an hour.

Sage especially had fun! We started out looking at the fish and boy you should have seen Sages face and her excitment. It was so cute! Next we looked at the birds and even got to hold one. The bird was mocking us and showing off. Very funny! Maybe someday we can get one.

SOMEDAY... not now!

Heres a funny thing Aubrey said yesterday--

We have our insta-set pool up and its a few years old and not in so good shape. We couldnt figure out why it was loosing so much water everyday..we thought maybe because the kids splashed it out or dumped it. But then Aubrey had her theory..."Maybe its hybernating". (me and Tony look at each other thinking what the heck) and then Aubrey continued "you know when the water goes up to the clouds". Then we started laughing cause we realized what she meant was EVAPERATION. lol!

Another story that happened like a year ago--

The kids were riding there bikes out front and Weston had ran over our Lantana plant. Aubrey being the little tattle tail she is came and said "mommy, Weston ran over the Hannah Montana plant"!

For over a year now I have been going to American Laser Centers in Mesa. First I went to improve my skin by getting the Affirm followed by the Microdermabrasion. Then I got offered an awesome deal I couldn't turn down. Im now getting laser hair removal on my underarms and *GASP* the fully extended Brazilian. (yeah thats all the front and all the back) Soon I will never have to shave there again. Oh the joys!!! Ive been happy with the girls who work there and the results thus far. Sage had her 18 month check up today. Shes 24.02 lbs 50th percentile on weight and 32.5" tall which is 75% on height. Phew! She got daddys tall jeans and not my short ones. She is healthy and happy! She even waved goodbye to the doctors after getting her shot. Aww! Now we dont need anymore shots until shes 4 years old...thanks goodness for that! Shes saying lots of new words like ball, whats that, mommy, daddy, right there, hot, shoes, ouch, hi (on rare occasion) We love her funny personality and her quirky faces she makes. Shes such a good baby..or I mean toddler. She sleeps well, eats okay and plays really good with everyone (once shes warmed up to them). Looove her!

I had a fun busy weekend! I flew to Nashville and met up with my good friend Jolene. It rained about half the time and was humid but I was very green and beautiful there. Aubreys Birthday Party and dinner

We had Aubreys Birthday Saturday afternoon! She had a few friends over to play on the water slide! After that we had cake and icecream popsicles (thats what she wanted)! She opened her presents and then they played a few balloon and water games. After everyone left I made the kids shower and we got ready for dinner. We met my parents and Tonys parents at Ruby Tuesdays. On her actual birthday (Sunday), we made her breakfast of her choice which was waffles and she got to play with her new toys and games!!! I just cant believe she is 6 years old already! Shes so beautiful and sweet. We love her very much!!!

Did anybody else watch the new episode Jon & Kate plus 8 last night? I actually felt sad for the family! Is that weird for me to feel bad for them? What do you all think about whats happening?

Life as of now is going fine and dandy! No sick kids...(knock on wood), school is almost out and no major catastrophes. We've been a bit more busy than normal but that comes natural to the end of the school year and summer.

Aubreys birthday is on Sunday. I cant believe shes going to be 6! We will be having a girly swim party here at our house for her little friends on Saturday then afterwards we will be meeting up with the grandparents for dinner. (location is still up in the air) Aubrey keeps changing her mind where she wants to go...first it was Ruby Tuesdays then it was Red Robin but then she said TGIFridays. Typical, huh! A girl can change her mind alot. She changes her clothes at least 2 times a day! Silly girl!!!!

We have been fortunate to have good friends and neighbors..we've been doing alot of activities with them and the family too! These next 2 weeks are gonna be crazy with doctor appointments, dentist appointments and school functions. But then summer will be here and we can stay indoors instead of melting out in the heat. Dont get me wrong...I love it warm. Thats why I live in Arizona! I wish I had a pool..that would make summer alot more fun and do-able. Ahhhh, someday a pool with be in my backyard! 10 years from now :(

Well off to do some yard work and hopefully get a tan while at it! Then off to Aubreys class to hand out birthday invitations.

BEST CHOCOLATE COOKIES EVER

1 box of Devils food cake mix
1/3 cup softened butter
1/3 cup water
1 egg

Mix together and make into small round 1 inch balls. Place onto greased cookie sheet. Spray bottom of glass cup and press down on dough balls, making perfect circle cookies. Bake for 4-6 minutes in a preheated 375 degree oven. Frost with chocolate frosting, if desired.

Sage has been such an easy going baby. The past 3 days she put herself down for a nap and slept for 3 hours each time. Its been so quiet here and I can get alot done. Here she is with some new books we got. We love reading books at our house. Every night either Tony or I will read the kids a book they each pick out. We have been doing this for the last 2 years and I think it really is a nice time to relax and bond with the kids. Its so cute to see Sage "reading" her books!

Yeah for Biggest Loser Cardio Max excersize DVD. Its really been kicking my butt, but its been working. Im now down to 125lbs and want to loose at least 5 more pounds. I need to figure out how to tighten my stomach without doing sit ups. I hate doing sit ups. Ive also been going for bike rides. Trying to mix up the excersize routine so I dont get bored. This morning was so nice out I went for a walk as soon as I came home from dropping off the kids at school. Im now off to go do my Carmen Electra strip tease excersize DVD. (BTW: its really fun..ya'll should try it out)

Home Improvements

We've been doing a lot of things to the exterior of our home lately..maybe its the spring air getting us out there..who knows but our home is looking beautiful.

We hung 2 sun mirror things (we have flown a flag ever since we have lived in this home...gotta show our support for the good ol' US of A)

Heres is one of the new vines we planted and one of the latices (sp?) we built. I will try to get a better picture of the whole thing someday.

I got a bunch of free pilsbury pizza crusts this past week at Frys after coupon so we have had homemade pizza twice already. This one turned out exceptionally good.

Aubrey and her cousin had a sleep over. They were wearing the same shirt and were being so funny together. I can totally see the Jarvis resemblance in them both especially in there cheeks.
Aubreys front tooth was wiggly and during dinner I was asking her if she wanted me to pull it out later and she didnt want to. So dinner carried on like normal then I noticed the tooth was missing. It came out on its own and was on her dinner plate. Easiest tooth extraction ever. lol

---------UPDATE-----

We got back from out fun vacation in northern AZ. It was nice to get away for a few days. I will post pictures soon. Kids started back at school today...they were both excited to go back and see their teachers and friends again. We also have been working hard on our backyard. We planted 22 new plants. 10 were flowers, 3 were vines, 4 lavender plants and 5 other flowery shrub type things. In addition to that we bought, painted and made our own latices for the vines to grow up on. I will soon post pictures of those too after we hang them to the wall. We've got an exciting busy weekend coming up with 2 birthday parties and I have a bridal shower for one of my friends. Check back soon for pictures of the vacation and plants soon.

Ive havent posted some pictures lately..Ive been some what busy and just havent sat down to do it. So here are the long over due pictures and updates.....enjoy!

Sage is being so cute lately, she baby talks, dances, plays peekaboo, trys to run (thats hilarious), and is just all over the place now. She loves loves to be outside. Especially the backyard where she either goes straight for the trampoline or sits on the rocks and throws them up in the air or puts them in her mouth (gross)

Here she is looking not so baby-ish anymore. Shes growing up so fast! She finally decided that she likes grown up food instead of just bottle. Its great now (and less expensive...dang formula) She trys everything we put on her tray and whatever she doesnt like she spits out, which is actually pretty funny (I probably wont be laughing later though)

Here is Weston and Aubrey trying to be like daddy (he was working on his sisters car a couple Saturdays ago) I thought it was hilarious.

Life is good now...no more sick kids (knock on wood). Spring break is coming up on us and we are planning a fun 2 nights in Camp Verde area with our friends. We are going to do Out of Africa and some other fun activities...I will defiantly post pictures.

Mine and Tony wedding anniversary is on Tuesday..it will be 8 years! I cant believe its been that long. Time has gone by so fast.

This is a dessert my mom would make when I was younger and it is so good and easy to make

No Bake Cookies

Mix together and boil in a sauce pan......

2 cups sugar
1 cube butter
1/2 cup milk
a pinch of salt
Add one of these
1/2 cup peanut butter
or
4 tbsp cocoa butter
(i did a mix of both)

After all is mix together turn off heat and add
3 cups oats
1 tsp vanilla

Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper and let set for about 1-2 hours

So I went to Frys for their Valentines special thing they were doing. The kids got to color and got to sample some candy, drinks and such. Im so happyI was able to refrain from eating that stuff (except for 1 piece of cinnamon salt water taffy and a piece of french bread). Im soo close to my first New Years goal of getting into the 120's. My second goal is to be 125 or less before the end of the year. Anyways back to Frys.....I got bacon for 99c and 3lb bag of fuji apples for 99c. I also got free TP and a few things for Valentines Day dinner (thats if Tony doesnt take me out and gets me a laptop instead..crossing my fingers) I spent $33 and saved over $41. I was wearing my new jeans (yeah for new jeans) and forgot to take the tag off (is that bad I wore the jeans before washing them?) and this lady at Frys was kind enough to tell me. So my next goal is to tell someone if they have tp draging on their shoes or their dress is stuck up in their underware. Whatever it is I would want someone to tell me so I will do the same back.

Oh yes that reminds me of a story of when I worked at Linen N Things up in N. Scottsdale. There was this overweight man (and I mean obese) wearing these cotton shorts with a hole in the cratch area...and his man sac (balls) were hanging out. In this case I was not about to go up to him and say "Hey sir. your balls are hanging out". NO FREAKIN WAY. Anyways after finding my manager (haha made her do it) and then finding him he I guess felt a draft and fixed it himself. Ew ew ew.

I seriously need a hobby or some sort of project to do. I swear I feel like Im standing or sitting around being a bum all day. And no I dont want to join a mom group and no I dont want to excersize and no I dont want to go to the store (I will spend to much money). These were all of Tonys ideas. So whats a girl to do? Okay so heres the story...

About a week ago I saw this kid behind our house, walking along the orange groves sucking on a cigarette and sporting a bb gun. I pulled out my camera and took a few pictures of the punk just in case anything were to go down. I figured he was just out wanting to shoot some rabbits or something. So I call the sherriffs just to let them know this kid could be up to no good. End story so I thought. Well the very next day around the same time I saw the damn kid again walking along the orange groves sporting the same gun and sucking on a fresh cigarette. I figure oh well hes pretty harmless. BAhaaahaa I was sure wrong. Now we are 5 day later (yesterday the 27th) the kids and I were upstairs playing legos from 4-430 and we decided we were done and went downstairs. From about 445-510 I gave Sage a bottle and played a game of Old Maid. There were plans to go try out the new restaraunt Jungle Buffett with my brothers family and my sisters family at 530. So I head upstairs to brush my hair and hear some noise on the window...sorta sounded like hard rain patters...and saw a refletion on the mirror that looked like rain drops...I thought to myself..."No way is it raining today" {{confused}} I turn around to look and realized it wasnt rain after all....it was a busted window. Right when I noticed it my brother called me to Im assuming to say he was headed over to the restaraunt....I told him what I just noticed and said a few naughty words (sorry Jaron). I was sooo mad. I made a call to the sherriffs office and they got someone out to my house in 20 minutes. The sherriff took some pictures and then he got a call and said he would be back. Well he got back around 715ish and finished taking the report and I gave his some pictures of the punk kid. So my task on hand now is to stalk down this kid and find out where he lives so I can give his address to that sherriff. And the other task at hand is to find someone to replace my window. GAAA To top it off my Chi broke, I need a new bra and my cell battery has lost its juice and I need a new one. When it rains it pours...not to mention all these things cost $$$. Blah blah blah

Slow Cooker Pulled BBQ Pork

1-pork loin (any size) (I have also used chicken breasts)
season liberally with seasoning (recipe below)
sear all sides
put in crock pot
chicken stock in the crock pot 1/3 the way up the loin
cook on high all day
towards the end occasionally pull apart the pork with a fork
when finished put pork in a dish and mix with your favorite BBQ sauce
serve on top of buns and a side of coleslaw (recipe below)

SEASONING

mix together in a tupperware container

garlic powder
onion powder
pepper
salt
paprika
chili powder

i usually make a big batch and use it when needed

COLESLAW

mix together
1 cup mayonaise
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 pint heavy whipping cream

pour over
2-3 bags shredded coleslaw mix

I decided to clean up a few closets and here was my first one I did.
I call this my well umm...Hall Closet...and I keep all my hair stuff and lotions and cleaners in here.
It was a big mess and I had just got an great deal on Suave shampoo and conditioner so NEEDED to clean it up. (I cant just shove 22 bottles anywhere)
Now I have a total of 79 bottles of shampoo & conditioner.

Okay so I have been a bit of a clumbs lately and here is 2 of my injuries.
I was riding the kids scooter with Weston on the back and we hit a bump and tipped over.
I got a nice gash on the ball of my foot (this picture was taken 4 days later) and a scrape on the top of the other foot...and bruises galore.

We won tickets to the Phoenix Suns game against the Timberwolves.
I was sooo excited because I had never been to a professional sports game ever.
Unfortunately the Suns lost by 2 but none the less we had so much fun.

When we were leaving we saw an old couple having trouble with their practically new Cadillac car so we stopped to give them a jump.

Well my deal of the week doesnt include groceries. Every year Tony or I (or both) do the Black Friday Shopping. We are finishing our unmentionable gifts for the good boys and girls in our house and I grabbed a pair of L.E.I jeans for 8 bucks....wohoo. We hit up Walmart, Target and stopped in Kohls...(man Kohls was the most frustrating one EvER....the Line was a mile deap on both sides and it took forever) Tony broke his sandles playing football on Thanksgiving so he needed some and we werent planning on getting them at Kohls. Anyway while I was distracting the kids while 'daddy went to the bathroom' (tee hee) I stumbled on a small side rack of mens sandles and found only 2 pairs that were his size. I didnt know how much they were but I didnt really care at this point because I was getting tired of waiting and so were the kids. To distract the kids, I let them scan the sandles (oh they love those things) and found out one of the pairs of sandles only cost $1.80 normally $18.00 90% off folks. JACKPOT! How perfect was that. So after daddy returned from his 'potty break' the kids really wanted out the store and so I waited in the now 2 mile deep line to buy these sandles.. 20 minutes later I got to the register and the lady said and I quote "YOU Waited IN LINe just to BUY Sandles....CaN I HEAD buTT you?!!!" Weirded OUt I was! Didnt really say much to her....I just wanted out! So I paid for my less than $2 sandles and practically ran out of there.

Anyways for Thanksgiving we are having lunch with my side of the family around 4 then we will be having Thanksgiving with Tonys side of the family on Saturday (Tonys parents are in Vegas until Friday....lucky them)(hopefully they will win the jackpot and cater out Thanksgiving instead of me cooking it ALL all by myself) hehe I guess its better to have Thanksgiving on 2 different days instead of stuffing myself 2 times in one day....ugg.

We won Suns tickets....wohoo! We went to a fun carnival thingy on Saturday and got a raffle ticket and won tickets to the January 16th game against the Timberwolfes. But get this...its the 11th row back from bench. Maybe Shaq will jump into the crowd again and make it all the way up to the 11 row...hehe I will be sure to remember the camera and get some awesome shots.

Sage is starting to walk along things like the couch...Im sure she will be walking here in the next 2 months. Shes starting to babble some new sounds. Aubrey and Weston are doing awesome in school! Aubreys teacher is bumping her up to the Max reading series and Weston is in the highest level of spelling, reading and math in his class. It all comes natural to them i guess....good thing that they got that from Tony instead of me. Im not so much of a scholar.

Alot of busy'ness has happened this past week...pheeww. I am glad its over with. We had most importantly Westons birthday on Friday (Halloween) and then school parades, trick or treating all in a 24 hour span.. Then Saturday we had Westons birthday party..that was interesting...9 kids ages 5-10 in my backyard...wowee! Our neighbor said he could hear us inside his house...oops I hope we didnt violate noise code. The kids had fun though...(pictures coming soon) Sunday we tried to relax but it was more like clean up after everything and put Halloween stuff away. Then yesterday was Voting Day! I didnt think I would get nervous but I did. I was worried for the outcomes and the 2 key ones I was worried about didnt turn out the way I wished. First off Obama! Enough said right! Well I guess things arent going to change that much. Then Prop. 102..Im not really going to spill it all out for you guys because you already know my feelings on this....I feel so bad for the now "outcast gay couples" Now it is so much easier for people to discriminate and look down on them. My stomach turns and Im am so sad about how Arizona people have masked a way to hate homosexuals. Anyways I thought I would update my blog since I havent in like a week. Busy Busy weekend

So this weekend was busy. (like every weekend is around here lately...sigh*) Saturday morning was the Reed side of my family (my moms side) annual breakfast at my Uncles house. My kids love going there because they have horses, cows, chicken and lots of places to run around. Aubrey was trying to be brave enough to pet the cow and she wouldnt do it for the longest time then she finally came up to me and said watch so I was watching (through the camera lense) and she pet the cow...only when she did it moved its head swooshing a fly or something and it squished her arm between the fence. Poor girl! She wasnt really hurt more like scared.. at least she did it. Then the kids had fun watching my cousin milk the cow...he kept squirting the kids with the milk...lol. After a while Tonys allergies got to him and we had to leave....but we had fun while we were there. Oh ya and if anybody knows how they made those biscuits and gravy please please pass on the recipe. YUM!

Then after we got home Coco and her husband and brother came to pick up the furniture they were buying from....(thank you coco)! After they left we ate lunch and went to a small fair down the street put on by My Doctor Now! It was okay. They had a petting zoo with a Llama, baby cow, bunnies, baby chicks, bay pig, ducks and goats. The kids had fun petting the animals. The kids got to sit inside a firetruck and meet the firemen. We went to Walgreens after and got a Red Box movie, Dont mess with Zohan! It was pretty funny. On Sunday I was hoping it would be a chill day but that never really happens. Tony decided he needed at TV today and so we did our price shopping online and found an awesome deal on a TV....so needless to say he went and got it. Yall have to come over and watch a movie with us someday!

Does it ever seem like everyone is avoiding you...? Well thats what I have been feeling lately! Maybe its just the paranoid me or something. Or maybe it is ME who everyone is avoiding... I mean we used to have conversations with our neighbors frequently but now its like they go in their house and dont come out. And like my mom doesnt even call to chat with me or come to visit.. I think shes only seen Sage 5 times, and Sage is going to be 1 years old in 1.5 months. I dont understand. It used to bother me alot before but now I guess I have just gotten used to her being absent from our lives... I dont know if its that she disapproves of us not going to church or what...I feel like alot of people judge us for not going to church....which just irritates me and makes me dislike the religion that much more. My phone has been pretty silent except for a few friends that are actually friends and call me. I rarely hear from family! Oh well at least my friends are there for me and my family. Well I take it back Tonys mom and I have a fantastic relationship...I can tell her anything and not fear of what shes going to think about me or fear she will be mad. She calls me almost daily to just Chat. And she trys to visit at least once a week if not more. She enjoys being with her grandkids and me. She is planning on having a me and her day just shopping and doing girly stuff. At least I get that kind of mother daughter interaction with my mother in law. I rarely see or hear from my dad. He is working alot and spends waaaayyy to much time with his Hispanic ward "family" and not his own. That ticks me off to because then he complains that he doesnt have enough time in the day to finish everything. If he would quit spending time with them and more time with his own blood then his relationship with them would greatly inprove. I dont even think my parents know how many teeth Sage has or if shes even crawling now. Any advise on how to cure this problem with them would be awesome.....and dont try to sugar coat everything and say "well thats who they are" or "thats just how they do things".. uh uh no! Urrgh Im really kinda ticked about Propisition 102 right now! How dare we let our government waste our hard earned tax dollars on a lame ass thing like this...especially in Arizona where gay marriages are already NOT Allowed. Millions of dollars wasted that could have gone to more important things such as schools, healthcare, charities, streets, etc. First of all its shoving a belief down everyones throats...! Also voting No will NOT allow gays to marry....it simply will keep the law the same which is that they arent allowed to be married. Love is love, no matter what sex. In fact there have been studies that showed that homosexuals have an extra thingy on the bottom of there brain by the back of your neck. Maybe it isnt a choice. Dont get me wrong....I dont swing that way but why judge others. Heres something fishy that happened

Constitutionally treating these families as second-class provides justification to those who are prone to violence. There may be no end to the recent spat of gay bashings in Scottsdale and Flagstaff if this measure passes. If you use the Constitution as a means of pushing citizens down and treating them as less worthy, the results could be disastrous.

And why are certain religious groups so heavily involved in this fight? Everyone has a right to practice their religion -- that's the Constitution's guarantee of "free exercise". At the same time, the public has the right NOT to have someone else's religious beliefs imposed on them -- that's the Constitution's guarantee against the establishment of religion in the CIVIL legal system. Besides, there are lots of religions (including large denominations of Christianity) that recognize that discriminating against a person based on sexual orientation is NOT "what Jesus" would do!

I hate hate hate that religions are throwing this down everyones throats right now. I thought they taught free agency. Isnt that where you get to choose?!??? Making it illegal for gays to marry is taking free agency away. That is so contradicting! You are being mislead by this proposition. People are thinking that if they dont vote yes than that means gays will be able to marry. BIG FAT NOOTTT. People fear that if they dont listen to there church they will be looked down upon. I hate that sooo much. I would rather have a gay neighbor than a religious freak condemning me to hell. And that is the truth. I have gotten so much negative experience with a certain religion I dont care to mention.
I don’t care if your straight, gay or somewhere else, it’s not my business how you enjoy your life. And it shouldn’t be the state’s either. This is basically a form of discrimination. Allowing gays to marry is not the same as disallowing straight people to marry. Traditional marriage would not be marginalized one iota by allowing gays to marry. It would only be broadened to allow gays to marry. Just like we broadened marriage to allow for interracial marriages during the civil rights movement.

Some might make the argument that gays marrying is just another slippery slope of immorality. But if they want to marry, arent they dont the moral thing, arent they committing to the monogamy that those in religious bubbles advocate? I hope that we can find a way to say NO to a protective bubble of religion that makes outcasts of those who are "different" (plueeessee) Doesnt it make outcasts of those who are "different"? and arent the outsiders and outcasts, the scorned, the very people Jesus embraced?

I also say a video of a family who lives in a state where same sex marriages are legal. Oh boy did this one get me rolling fire mad. Its sooo one sided. It shows tha parents upset that their Kindergardener came home with a book that showed a dad and his "partner"! They wanted the school to make it a parent permission first. Okay well as a parent arent we supposed to teach and guide our children to believe the things we want them to? It goes right along with this. It is no different then your child hearing about drugs, drinking, sex before marriage, etc. You just have to explain why some people do this and why you dont do this. If you dont like how the school is teaching, then HOMESCHOOL! Kids are going to learn all sorts of stuff at school. Parents have the obligation to be there for the children and lead them the direction that they believe is true. Dont be hating on the school....they arent going to turn your child gay! SOO LAME!

As you can see this is a very touchy subject for me and this is just the tip of the iceberg. I could go on for hours about this. (and subjects relating) Please please do more research on this Proposition and make a smart educated vote. Dont watch or read one sided things. Get the factual facts about Prop. 102. Dont let anybody sway your vote...do what you feel is the right thing to do....remember free agency. Free to choose. Free to choose. Free to choose.

They meaning husbands, specifically mine this time. I will set up the story for you. Tony in high school won the Iron Man competition. He loved and still loves lifting weights. So as you could guess when he finally had a garage to put up his weight set he did it as soon as he could. Well it didn't get used for the purpose of pumping iron.....no.... it got used as a storage bench and to collect dust. After some discussion about a year ago about not having enough room to maneuver in there and that he wasn't even using it he said that he would begin to use it and it wouldn't be used as a storage bench anymore. He did begin using it everyone other night for a whole month..........ya then you guessed it....that excitement wore off. Since then its been collecting dust and other things. So the discussion came up again and guess who won......yep meeeee! Do men (husbands) ever learn that the women always prevail? Ahhh but there was some compromise here....Im not as mean as a wife as Im making it sound. Hes keeping the bench and some weights in there but at least I can walk into the garage without tripping or trying to avoid hitting my head on some big metal thing......ahhhhhh! I LOVE MY HUSBAND

The Jacked Up Camping Trip

So we are back from our camping trip and the post title will be explained as we go. Dont get me wrong....we had a great time. We headed up Thursday afternoon and when we first pulled into the "wilderness" we saw a heard of 10-12 elk. It was pretty awesome site. After finding my brother and dad we set up camp and played around for a few hours including swinging on a swing my brother made. The kids had a blast with that.

After dinner we sat around the camp fire and then went to bed. It was sooo cold. I think I had maybe 3 hours of sleep. Between the stupid coyote howling and the coldness I just could not get to sleep as much as I really wanted to. The next morning my dad made pancakes (we had bagels though) and one his last pancakes was huge (Duston ended up eating the whole thing hehe) Then I decided to move my car back over to our tent and I drove over (on accident) a tree stump. I was stuck. I tried to go in reverse and foward. I was getting no where......now I was scared. (here comes the part of the title explination) Tonys parents showed up on the ATVs and I showed them what happened. His dad said we needed to Jack up the back tire and stick some boards underneath the tire set it down then jack up the front tire and put a rock under it so the wheel could just roll over it and over the stump. It took a lot of man power (thanks Jaron, Duston, Dad, other Dad, and my sisters for making fun of me) As the day went on I got tired of "ruffing it" and decided it was time to pack up and leave much to my sisters failed attempts to keep me there. (nothing personal) We left around 5ish and got home about 8ish with a pit stop in Fountain Hills at Wendys. I slept like a freaking baby I was so tired.

Scuba Diving

I got the opportunity to have a scuba diving class and took it. Boy was I glad I did. I love love loved it! The scuba instructors showed us how to do everything and then we went under the water for an hour. I really want to get scuba certified but it costs $350 and we dont have the extra money to do that. Want to make a donation? lol Anyways if you ever get the chance to do it you definatly should. I think I found what Im supposed to do in life along with being a race car driver (which I want to do someday to) oh and an aesthetician. Watch out world here I come.....well at least after all the kids are in school I can start.

Okay so normally Im pretty capable of dealing with noise and such (since growing up in a house with 9 other siblings) but man has something really struck a nerve with me lately. Well its kinda been happening for a while now but seriously just recently has it started buggin me again. As some of you know we live next to a drainage area and behind our home is a big orange grove. Well some fools like to drive their ATV's through our driveway, run over our plant and go back into the groves to ride. To solve this problem we stuck a big landscape rock there...did that deter them? NO they just go on the other side of it! So we make a small sign and put it on a stake...did that deter them? NOPE They just have no clue that we want them to stay off our property and quit running over our plants. I dont know what to do about it now. Any clever ideas? The day after the rain last week we saw mud prints from the ATV's so I decided to take pictures. Heres one! Oh and thats not all...when we are in our backyard playing and they decided to ride 100 mph and kick up all sorts of dust it blows into our backyard and we have to run away from it. Its so annoying and loud. Oh ya that also reminds me of another annoying thing they do. They decide its okay to ride at 10pm. Its loud and it keeps my kids awake. Okay enough of my vent!

So i just wanted to come blog about whatever because I feel like it! I guess I don't really have something specific to talk about so I guess I will just type and see what comes out of it. Did you all enjoy that rain we got last night? I love it when it rains except that if its windy too we have to move Tonys car that is parked next to a big tree that is leaning and we fear it will fall over one of these times. The tree is so big and beautiful but man its a pain in the ass. We have to trim that darn thing at least once a week because it grows so dang fast. We have to pull out the ladder and trimmers and if we don't put the clippings in the trash right away the leaves dry out and make a huge mess. But if garage day isn't the next day it makes the trash a musty and dewy stinky smelly ugghhh. Oh well! Oh and the stupid builder or landscaper (I don't know who to blame) planted this tree right on top of our water line so if the tree does topple then we hope it doesn't rip out our pipes.
We got Aubreys ears pierced Saturday. She had been asking for a while and we thought she was responsible enough to take care of them so we took her..... I think I was more nervous than her. She hopped up onto the chair and the lady did one ear at a time, each time Aubrey didnt jump, cry or even say ouch. The employees were amazed and needless to say so was I . She loves them and they are so cute on her. I don't have a picture yet but I will put one up soon.
Something Ive been trying to do is declutter.....my life and my house.. As a whole me and Tony collectively decided that we will not allow anybody in our lives that will be a negative impact on us and our kids. We are striving to make our lives more positive and happy. (not that it wasn't before but we want to keep it that way) There is a specific person that we know that has just not given us any kind of good vibes and has shown some negative reactions to situations that the person has happened to deal with. Also the behavior and temper is frightening to me and Tony. We believe that this person is capable of something unimaginably saddning and hurtful and so we will not allow our children to be suseptable to see this behavior and action this person portraits. As for our home....we have been (slowly) trying to go to each room and get rid of anything broken, unusable or something that is just junk. We've done the kids toys (twice) and everyones clothes. I need to encourage Tony to get in the garage, its full in there. I should take before and after pictures huh?!?!?! We dejunked our computer room by buying a smaller desk with drawers and put things away in the correct spots and it made the room look bigger and cleaner. The list can go on and on but I will prevail.....I will be junk free someday!
I dont know why I have been thinking about this practically daily but Christmas is 6 months away. Its going to creep up on us so fast! Ive been asking the kids about what they want Santa to bring them.. They really haven't said much except Weston wants (and needs) a new bike. His bike is starting to get little for him. Aubrey hasn't specified anything yet. Tony just told me he wanted to start putting up lights before Thanksgiving. I'm not so sure about that. Every year he wants to put up a gazillion lights and decorations. I guess its his favorite holiday or something. *giggle* This year will be different. Although it will be Sage's 2nd Christmas she will be crawling around (maybe walking) and pulling the decorations off the tree. Maybe we will put some type of cute barrier around it. Got any cute ideas you crafty ladies out there (Coco, Bobbi, Monica, Kristin)? You know that song "I cry the day that I take the tree down" well that is the complete opposite of me. I cant wait to take the decorations down and have my home back to its original self. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas and that holiday season but I cant stand having wall to wall stuff everywhere. (hence the decluttering)

First day of School

Here are some pictures of the long awaited first day of KINDERGARTEN and 2nd Grade! Most of you who know Aubrey know that she is very shy and timid when it comes to people she doesn't know even kids her own age. I was so nervous the whole week before school and stayed awake at night thinking all the things that could happen. Well so Wednesday night, the night before school, we were helping the kids get their backpacks ready. Aubreys reply was "no its in 10 days"! Then my mind started to race thinking oh no is she getting nervous. agghhh noooo! In the morning we got ready and Aubrey was soooo excited. The kids got ready really fast and we even had 20 minutes for them to just watch cartoons before we had to leave. We get there and I was ready to put up a fight. I thought she would be attached to my hip or crying. NOPE! She went off and played on the playground the whole time.....I didn't even have to tell her to go and play. When the whistle blew she lined up and went inside and said "bye mom". I couldn't believe it. Aubrey isn't my little girl anymore. Same thing happened the 2nd day too. WoW! As for Weston he has the same teacher for 2nd grand as he did 1st grade. I like how the school does that because then the teacher knows the student and their behavior and learning ways. I really like his teacher..... and so does Weston. So I wasn't nervous for Weston to go to school at all. He always has been my easy child! He was wanting to go back to school weeks ago. He was so excited to see all his friends again.

We recently had a chance got to take the kids to a movie! Horton Hears A Who, I thought, was a cute movie. If you ever get the chance to see it with your kids I would recommend doing it. Talking about movies, we have a very good, close friend that so happened to have a, what I think is, a pretty good role in a movie called Peaceful Warrior. He doesn't have any lines in the movie but he is seen quite often. That is besides the point though. Peaceful Warrior is a great movie and Ive been wanting to buy the DVD for a while now. I got the chance to buy it when Tony took me out for my birthday (July 1st). We went to dinner at Carrabas Italian Grill. Talk about good food....wow! It was our first time there and we had excellent service and amazing food. Afterward our server brought us out an ice cream dish to share, compliments of Carrabas because it was our first time there. I definitely recommend trying it (although the frozen strawberry margarita wasn't all that great)! After dinner we stopped by Old Navy and Tony bought me a cute pair of wedge sandals, some regular pair of sandals, a red tank top and a long sleeved shirt I saw that was cute! It was too early to call it a night and head home so we decided to go to Best Buy and look at the flat screen TVs because we are in the market to buy one at leas 42" or bigger. We talked to one of the employees there who helped us decide which kind was best for our needs and so now we confirmed what we thought was the right decision to get a Plasma 1080 HDTV 42-50"! (NO SONY BRANDS EITHER, YUCK) So then we were looking around at the movies and at the corner of my eye was the movie I had been looking for. $14.99 sweet deal, SOLD! We bought Peaceful Warrior finally! After a good night of shopping and dinner we headed home to our sweet angels (well most of the time) we showed them a quick glimpse of the movie and they were all excited that Chad was on TV! And lastly but not at all least, we watched Jurassic Park 2 on TV last night! Mind you I'm not really into the action suspense movies so much but I have always liked watching the Jurassic Park movies. Any of you got any movies that you really enjoy, please share.

A little update!!!

Its been a while since my last post so I figure I'd post a few. I felt the urge to give you a little piece of my ray of sunshine, aka, Tony! Im not saying that because of his red hair or anything I just love him so much. As you can see the picture he is a wonderful daddy. He is feeding Sage her food so I could "go relax" as he puts it. Now this isnt a rare occasion for this to happen. Nooo! Im a lucky girl here. He helps me out every single day and on most nights after the kids go to bed *****viewer discrestion advised**** he rubs my..........................................................................feet!

Yes! You read that right. Ahhh! Who need to go to the salon when you have Tony around....certainly not I (although I do wish sometimes that I could go get the "works" done....a pedicure, manicure, and massage) but thats all just hosh posh stuff. As for my perfect little angel, Sage, she is just the best baby ever. She is now 6.5 months old. We started feeding her some rice and oatmeal cereals and are trying to introduce some applesauce, carrots, etc. Shes is not a big fan of it quite yet! 75% of the food either ends up on her bib, on her face or when she sneezes, my face. She is content with her bottle. Sage is what i call "my monkey girl"! She is does everything with her feet. Shes not crawling yet but thats fine by me. On her 6 month well-child checkup she weighed a whopping 18lbs 4oz. and was 25 inches long. Speaking of well child checkups, Aubrey had hers 5 days after Sages (didnt want to deal with 2 kids getting shots on the same day). Aubrey is growing up beautifully, litterally and physically. Poor girl had to get 4 vaccinations, a tb test (which included a needle) and a iron test (finger prick). She was a trooper though. Nothing a trip to the nearest fast food restaraunt cant help. We all celebrated her 5th birthday a few Saturdays ago with some friends and family at our house for a water party. She had so much fun playing in the water and playing with her friends. Weston is doing great in school.. he is excelling beautifully in math and reading. His teacher moved him up from the 1st grade level to 2nd grade level. (mind you he is in 1st grade) Im so proud of his achievements! Weston is such a good boy.

1. Weston is very smart! (takes after daddy) He is doing 2nd grade reading and math while in 1st grade.

2.He is getting really good at riding his bike and scooter. He can get both wheels off the ground on his bike and land it without falling.

3. He is a lover not a fighter. He will cuddle with just about anybody and rub their arm.

4. Weston plays exceptionally well with Aubrey (most days). Get them playing store or something and they will be busy for hours (litterally)!

5. Loves his electronics......he loves to play the computer, PS2 and Nintendo DS. He also likes to tinker with his toys and take them apart to see if he can fix them.

6. He tells me he loves me and that Im beautiful at least once a day (learned it from his daddy)

We have lived in our house for almost 2 years now and although we got 75% of the yard done about 6 months after we moved in, we are now just about to finish it up. Gotta finish the planters (2 of them) and put some plants in them. We also want to put some type of coating on our patio to give it the "shiny, wet look"! We still need to make our built in BBQ and some bench seating next to the patio and plant a few more trees and plants. ( I dont ever think we will be finished though) (for those who havent seen our backyard, its hugggeee) i will post more pictures soon.

We should plan a big BBQ someday......who wants to come?
